Department of Commercial Science
The Department of Commercial Science at our school offers a well-rounded curriculum focusing on Economics, Commerce, and Accounts. In Grade 9, as part of the ICSE curriculum, students can opt for Economics and Commercial Studies as elective subjects. Moving into Grade 12 under the ISC curriculum, students have the flexibility to select Economics, Commerce, and Accounts as independent subjects, each available under distinct band options.
Integrating Economics, Commerce, and Accountancy into the academic program is crucial for equipping students with the skills needed to excel in an increasingly interconnected and complex global landscape.
Department of Performing Arts
At Cambrian Hall, Middle School students have the option to learn either Western or Indian musical instruments and choose one of three dance forms: Odissi, Kathak, or Folk Dance. Additionally, all students are introduced to vocal Hindustani music. The school calendar includes various performance platforms where students can showcase their acquired talents.
Drama lessons are integrated into the curriculum to foster confidence and stage presence. For those with a passion for Hindustani music and dance, there is an opportunity to further their skills in Tabla, Santoor, Sitar, Vocal Hindustani Music, Odissi, and Kathak as subjects within the ICSE curriculum. In Grades 11 and 12, ISC students may continue pursuing Hindustani Music.
Both ICSE and ISC students can also earn a Certificate from Allahabad Prayag Samiti in their chosen instrument or dance form, adding an extra dimension of achievement to their arts education.
English Department
The English Department at Cambrian Hall is dedicated to cultivating strong communication skills across all courses offered at both the Middle School and Senior School levels.
The department’s mission is to enhance students’ appreciation of Literature and empower them to use spoken and written English proficiently. Each course is designed to develop the four core English skills: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. Students are also encouraged to read extensively, not only for personal enjoyment but also to deepen their understanding of the diverse applications of the English language.
Information Technology
The Information Technology Department at Cambrian Hall equips students with essential digital skills and knowledge. Science Department
At Cambrian Hall, our Science Department focuses on building a solid foundation in scientific principles, preparing students for higher studies and future careers, and fostering scientific literacy for informed citizenship.We follow the Lower Secondary Cambridge Science program, which offers a comprehensive curriculum covering Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Space Science. This structured approach ensures students achieve high academic standards.
At the senior level, students in the ICSE and ISC streams can choose from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Home Science, while IGCSE students may opt for the three pure sciences.
Our teaching approach is hands-on, incorporating practical activities, experiments, and demonstrations to deepen students’ understanding of scientific concepts.
