THE CAMBRIAN HALL LEGACY
The history of Cambrian Hall began with the late Maharaja Judha Shumshere JB Rana, ex-Prime Minister of Nepal. After giving up his Prime Ministership (1948) to his first nephew, he moved to India upon the invitation of the then Indian Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Home Minister, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. He settled down in Dehradun at 13 Young Road, Dehradun Cantt.
Our Founder truly believed in the power of education to change the world and promote peace. His dream was to see the abolition of the social divide that exists in society through the provision of affordable and world-class education to one and all who aspired to achieve something of value and significance in life. In 1954, thus started Cambrian Hall with a few students, the founder holding close to his heart the vision he had for children from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
